This here Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph, they say it’s somethin’ special. Heard it’s only in them fancy specialty stores. I reckon it’s one of them watches that costs more than my whole house! They say it’s for folks who know about these things. It’s a high-end watch and its price is not cheap.
Now, this watch, it ain’t just a regular watch. They say it flips! Got two sides, like flippin’ a flapjack. One side, it’s got them regular numbers, like you see on most clocks. The other side, well, that’s where they get all fancy. They say you can see all the gears and things movin’ around inside. I don’t know much about that, just that it sounds mighty complicated.
And the material, you know, is very very good. My neighbor’s boy, he’s always talkin’ ’bout these fancy watches. He says this Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, it’s made of some kinda special gold. Pink gold, he calls it. Sounds like somethin’ you’d see on a queen, not a regular person like me! But I guess if you got the money, you can buy whatever you want. It must be very heavy on your wrist.
- This watch, it’s big, too. Not like them little dainty things the young girls wear.
- They say it’s almost 50 of them little millimeter things long. That’s bigger than my thumb! And almost 30 wide.
- Must be a hefty thing to wear on your wrist.
- I don’t know why people spend so much money on this watch, just for time knowing.
And it’s thick, too, this Reverso Tribute Chronograph. Over 11 of them little millimeters. My old clock on the wall ain’t even that thick! They say it’s got some special kinda movement inside. Caliber 860, they call it. I reckon that’s just a fancy name for all them little gears and springs that make it tick. I heard it’s very expensive.
They make all different kinds of these watches, too. Change the metal, add some shiny stones, change the color of the face. This JLC, they got all sorts of fancy stuff. Complicated movements, they say. Sounds like a headache to me, but I guess some folks like that. This JLC has a lot of models. I don’t know the difference between them, just know they are all expensive.
And because they don’t make a whole bunch of ’em, they cost a lot. That’s what my neighbor’s boy says. Supply and demand, or somethin’ like that. If you don’t make many, and everybody wants one, you can charge whatever you want. Makes sense, I guess. They are just for those rich people.
This watch, it does what it’s supposed to do, I reckon. Tells the time. But they say it does more. I don’t know what else a watch is supposed to do, but they seem to think it’s somethin’ special. Maybe not somethin’ you’d wear every day, they say. Too fancy for that, I guess. This is not for me.
They say this Reverso is worth considerin’, though. If you’re into that sort of thing. Me, I’m happy with my old clock. It tells the time just fine. Don’t need no fancy flippin’ watch to do that. This watch is not useful for me.
I saw a picture of one of these watches. It’s got a rectangle case, they call it. Made of steel, this one was. And it’s got them Arabic numbers. You know, the ones that look like they’re from some foreign land. And the hands, they’re blue. Steel hands, but blue. I don’t know how they do that. It is amazing.
This Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph is a special watch. It is a high-end watch. It’s not a watch for poor people like me. The price is too high. I think only those people who have a lot of money will buy it. I will never spend money on this watch. If you want a good watch, this JLC is a good choice. If you don’t have enough money, you can choose other watches. There are many cheap watches in the market. But this watch is very good.
