Hey folks, it’s your buddy here! So, I’ve been up to somethin’ again, and this time it’s this bag thing – the Remake Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG, they call it “original order.”
I saw this fancy-lookin’ bag the other day, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I mean, how hard could it be, right? Famous last words, I know. So, I got all my stuff together: leather, thread, needles, the whole shebang.
First off, I had to figure out the pattern. That was a doozy! I sketched and measured, and then I sketched some more. This bag, it’s like a little box, you see? With a flap and this shiny YSL thingy – they call it a “cassandre closure.” Anyways, after a whole lotta trial and error, I finally got somethin’ that looked about right.
Then came the cuttin’ and the stitchin’. Now, I ain’t no expert, but I’d say I’m pretty handy with a needle and thread. But this bag, it’s got this diamond-quilted thing goin’ on. Like a fancy sheep, someone called it. That was a real pain in the you-know-what! But I stuck with it, stitch by stitch, row by row.
- Cutting the leather: Man, that was nerve-wracking! One wrong move and the whole thing’s ruined. But I took it slow and steady, and it turned out alright.
- Stitching the pieces: This is where the real work began. I used a good, strong thread and made sure each stitch was nice and tight.
- Making the quilted pattern: Okay, this was the hardest part. I had to stitch these diamond shapes all over the bag. It took forever, but I think it was worth it. It made the bag look fancy.
- Adding the closure: This YSL “cassandre” thing, it’s like a little puzzle. But I figured it out eventually and got it attached to the flap.
- Finishing touches: I added a lining to the inside of the bag and made a strap so you can carry it on your shoulder.
After hours of work, a whole lot of thread, and yeah, a few pricked fingers, I finally finished it! My very own YSL June Box Bag! It might not be exactly like the real deal, but hey, I made it myself, and that’s somethin’, right?
This YSL, they make a ton of bags, clothes, shoes, you name it. But this June Box Bag, it’s somethin’ special. It’s just the right size, not too big, not too small. And it’s got that classic look that never goes out of style, or so they say.
Anyways, I’m pretty darn proud of myself. It was a fun project, even though it drove me nuts sometimes. And who knows, maybe I’ll try makin’ another one of these fancy bags someday. But for now, I think I’ll give my fingers a rest!
